What’s Included in Membership
Membership Includes:
- Membership dinner meetings and social events (for two representative business will be invoiced for additional representatives unless stated otherwise)

- Occasional ODCA promotional material
- Social media post sharing and shout outs
If a new members joins the ODCA at any point during the year, their membership dues will be prorated accordingly.
Once your membership application is approved, you will be issued an invoice which can be paid via cheque or credit card.

Orillia & District Construction Association Member Benefits
Committees
A defined list of committees will be offered to our executive and members to participate, i.e. Golf Committee, Special Projects Committee, Marketing Committee, Municipal Committee, etc. Each committee will be given the mandate to facilitate same within the timelines of the project.
Networking with ODCA
ODCA will be hosting general meetings that will bring together our members to discuss their achievements and perhaps create opportunities to assist each other. At our general meetings we will have a Question and Answer period to discuss our member’s situations at work that is of concern to the well being of our membership. Also, it may be piloted to have a business host a reception for members to attend – similar to a business “after-five” social.

Safety Training
If you are a active member of the Orillia & District Construction Association you are eligible to receive a 10% discount off safety courses with Construction Workplace Safety Training (CWST) and Sunbelt Safety Rentals. Members will also receive a 10% discount at Sunbelt Rentals for personal safety equipment (ie. Harness’ etc.)
Marketing
To be recognized throughout our community by advertising through signage, sponsorship, and media venues. Members are encouraged to become our Ambassadors by telling other construction associates to join our association and become a voice for construction.

The Ogemawahj Tribal Council provides superior professional and technical services to its six member First Nations. The Board of Directors is comprised of the Chief and one Elder from each member community. The Board of Directors provide direction to the organization in its strategic planning, government relations and policy development. To assist in these activities, the Tribal Council maintains a political and advocacy staff to support its efforts in helping their communities to prosper.

Kelly Smith has been the Chief Building Official for the City of Orillia for nearly two decades, being appointed as Chief in 2003. Kelly is a certified Building Code Official and is responsible for reviewing and enforcing compliance with the Ontario Building Code. Kelly’s primary roles are the issuing of building permits and inspecting buildings that are under construction.
Currently, Kelly is facilitating a Parks, Recreation and Culture course, and supported by the ODCA, called Introduction to Construction. Class age ranges from 7 – 12 years old’s and aims to introduce students to various aspects of the construction industry. One of the goals of the Association is to build the interest of more youth towards the trades. Kelly is doing a fantastic job at coordinating this course, gathering materials and arranging different members to come and teach the students about different aspects of the construction.
As such, the Orillia & District Construction Association is proud to announce that Kelly Smith has been awarded the 2019 Member of Distinction Award!
