ODCA In the Community

9

We are interested in participating in projects that will benefit our community. This can be done through our membership by volunteering time, material or contribution to an approved project by the ODCA.

Assisting our community through “special community projects” brings awareness of our association and its members.

The ODCA is pleased to award a $500 scholarship to one graduating Orillia high school student, from each Orillia high school, who is enrolled or enrolling in a full time post secondary trade program or professional program related to the construction industry. Please visit our Scholarship page to find out more details on how you can apply.

Below you will find some of the past year’s Community Projects that the ODCA has been involved in.

Thank you to our members & Board of Directors that came out to support this year’s ODCA Community Project. The two burn units were constructed by R&F Construction and members of the ODCA. The purpose of this event was to show the community how to prevent fires before they happen, testing early warning devices and preparing a quick exit plan. This kick-off event to Fire Prevention Week at Home Depot included live demonstrations such as a real structure fire, a home sprinkler demonstration and fire extinguisher lessons.
