“Helping to Build our Community”
The mission of the Orillia & District Construction Association is “to assist in the construction industry by bringing together the people and the resources to foster their business needs”. One way that the Association contributes to this mission is through scholarships. Every year, the Association sets aside funds from each member that is used towards scholarships. This year, we were fortunate to be able to deliver three (3) $500 scholarships.
This year awarded scholarship recipients were selected by teachers at each of the three main secondary schools in Orillia. Each of the recipients were selected based on the following criteria:
- Student to be graduating this year
- Student to be pursuing a future in construction via an apprenticeship or post-secondary training
- The student is hard-working and deserving of this scholarship
